First-trimester pregnancy loss remains one of the most common yet least understood complications of pregnancy, affecting millions of women worldwide. While many cases are attributed to chromosomal abnormalities, growing evidence suggests that maternal cardiovascular health, immune regulation, endocrine factors, thrombophilia, genetics, and early placental development play a crucial role in determining pregnancy viability.
In this masterclass, we will explore recurrent and sporadic miscarriage through the lens of modern Maternal-Fetal Medicine, reviewing the latest scientific advances in embryonic and placental biology, risk assessment, diagnostic strategies, and emerging preventive interventions.
Participants will gain practical insights into the evaluation and management of women with early pregnancy loss and discover how new biomarkers, ultrasound technologies, and precision medicine approaches are reshaping clinical practice.
