The prenatal detection rate of CNS anomalies is very low. It is recognised that this is due to the fact that some of these anomalies are not evident until well into the third trimester or after birth, but also because ultrasound examination of the foetal CNS requires specific training ranging from the incorporation of knowledge of the most basic aspects of its anatomy, embryology and physiology to the most complex aspects of neurology and neurosurgery. All of these must be addressed and oriented in a particular way to specialists who are exclusively dedicated to ultrasound and foetal medicine.

At the end of the presentations, the student can obtain a certificate of completion of the theoretical training and pass the knowledge acquisition test. Once the knowledge has been acquired and in order to obtain the certificate, a multiple-choice test must be taken. For the validation test you have 3 attempts and must answer 70% of the answers correctly. Each time you enter the test, even if you do not answer any questions, it counts as an attempt.
